Description

Function :

To convert resistance input into galvanically isolated mA signal, linearly proportional to the input. Two Wire Transmitter relies on Loop Power from the receiving device, usually 24V DC, to operate the Transmitter interface & send the signal back to the receiving device. This Converter carries both the signal from the Transmitter and the power to the Transmitter on a single pair of wires. Hence it is called as 2 Wire Converter.


  Two wire position transmitter hence eliminates ground loop problems.
  Provides immunity from line drops & interference signal.
  Suitable to fit inside reputed make Actuators.
  Range is selectable by means of DIP switch.
  Sufficient zero and span adjustment facility to get stable 4-20 mA output.
  Epoxy encapsulated module suitable for mounting inside the Actuator


Control Supply : 24 VDC (Unit works from 12VDC to 36VDC)
Input : 0 to 1000 Ohm or 0 to 5000 Ohm through external Potentiometer (ranges are selectable by means of DIP Switch). Potentiometer not in our scope of supply.
Input Potentiometer Movement : In some cases, the input potentiometer movement between Damper full Open to full Close is 0 - 270 deg. and in some cases the potentiometer movement is 0 - 90 deg. This converter has sufficient zero & span adjustment facility to get stable 4-20mA output.
Output : 4-20mA DC, proportional to input; RL max = 600 Ohm at 24Vdc
Isolation : Output is non isolated
Zero adjustment : +/- 20% adjustable by means of ten turn Trimpot
Span adjustment : +/- 60% adjustable by means of ten turn Trimpot
Accuracy : Within +/- 0.5% of FSD excluding accuracy of external sensor
Ambient temp. : Upto 55 deg. C
Humidity : Upto 95% RH
Enclosure : Epoxy encapsulated module suitable for mounting inside the Actuator, complete with Mounting Plate. The unit can be directly mounted inside the actuator without any mechanical modification

The output of the signal converter is used for the transmission of the signal from the field to the remotely located C.C.R. or vice versa, for the purpose of Indication, Control, Data Logging etc.
